So many ideas...
Food family and dog people. That seems to put it pretty accurately. Tiffany and Matt Weimer met while working at a popular wing bar in Chesapeake, Virginia. Music, dogs, and travel are the mission....and whatever cultural knowledge they pick up on the way.
The Factory staff has decades of combined experience in the food industry. Both owners are graduates of local high schools but are young transplants. Tiffany was born in Hawaii and lived in 3 other states, while Matt moved from Michigan. Neither would consider being called chefs, rather scientists just trying out flavors. This team truly believes good food and good vibes can bring a little more life back to a historic community.
Exploring History
At the heart of an original American village, the Historic Downtown Driver district is a landmark community preserving a taste of the past and promoting a safer future. This sleepy town is striving to return itself to a lively destination welcoming local families and travelers on the growing bike trail. The Seaboard Coastline project runs along the old train tracks and is a segment of a larger regional trail connecting cities up and down the East Coast. Established in 1887, Driver has always been a location of commerce with an attraction to music and art. Like any bustling town, creativity and craft draw in the local crowds. Now, the community is forging ahead to provide a pedestrian friendly destination to residents and guests looking for events hosting live performances or markets. Downtown Driver
The Factory operates within Historic Arthur's General Store bringing new food services back to the town. Sitting at the intersection of history and progress, Downtown Driver is reshaping it's future through the rapid development of surrounding area.. As the town evolves into a vibrant arts and entertainment district, we stand as a sentinel of heritage. By reviving this general store, we aren't just selling sandwiches; we are cultivating a cultural landmark where the stories of the past meet the creative energy of today's artisans.
